Carnes Pampeanas is jointly owned by Tyson Foods, the world’s largest processor and marketer of chicken, beef and pork (www.tyson.com) and Cresud S.A.C.I.F.y A., an important Argentine agricultural and industrial company (www.cresud.com.ar).
The beef packing plant is located in the city of Santa Rosa, Province of La Pampa, Argentina, in the heart of the Pampas plains, an area
surrounded by the best cattle
grazing grounds..
Tyson Foods and Cresud are also owners of the firm Cactus Argentina S.A. (Feed Lot located in Villa Mercedes, province of San Luis,
Argentina), who provides cattle
fattening services.
Together with Cactus Argentina, the companies have established the first vertically integrated beef production operation in the country, by
providing Angus cattle to the Carnes Pampeanas plant for the CAB
